This form can be used for the following requests by clubs
The requester for this form must be an official within the club. Use this form to request: – Inform of a pending forfeiture of a team – Request a change of ground allocation at the same venue (multi-field venues only) – Request a change to the scheduled draw – Inform impending issue with grounds (weather, damage etc.)

Impending Issue with Ground
Regulations Regarding Cancellation of Matches
13. Weather Policy – Cancellation of Matches See also the new Cyclone Policy – Appendix A in the Club and Player Regulations document on “Rules and Regulations” page of the CFN website. Preliminary Matches 13.1. Clubs must report on the condition of their grounds, or whether play has been abandoned due to grounds not able to be prepared properly during the week due to inclement weather/vandalism etc. This Grounds Condition Report Form must be provided before midday on the Friday prior to Saturday matches and before midday on Saturday prior to Sunday matches. 13.2. Should the report indicate that their oval(s) will not be available for play, The Chief Executive Officer will communicate this information to the opposition clubs, the umpire association and to the CFN Vice-President. 13.3. If the decision to cancel is made on the morning of the match due to overnight storms etc., the host clubs must inform the Opposition Club, Umpire Association, and the Fixtures and Competitions Sub-Committee Chair via mobile phone call or text message no later than 3 hours prior to the normal starting time of a match in order to cater for travel and to allow time to inform the above affected persons. 13.4. Contact numbers for the Ground Staff and Umpires can be found on the Cricket Far North website. NOTE: As a courtesy, please inform your opposition club and the umpires of this situation.

Forfeiture Notice
Forfeiting a Match Conditions
General Playing Conditions 15 – Declaration and Forfeiture 15.1. Forfeiture of Matches Any affiliated body who has a team which forfeits a match with or without notice will pay the match fees for both teams for that match. This is inclusive of all ground and umpire fees for each format of the game and for all competitions. Note: Umpire fees pertain to the match fees set for official umpires and will include the match fees for the club umpires who will officiate at Junior and Ladies matches. Failure to pay these fines before the following weekend’s matches will result in all grades in that club not gaining any points for the match and players will be exempt from the ‘best and fairest’ points allocation from the competition until such time as the penalty is paid. A club required to forfeit a match must forfeit its lowest grade team scheduled for that day. Should a club forfeit a match in any grade above its lowest grade team, the club will forfeit all points for that round in both the forfeiting grade and any lower grades.
