Our Competition
Veterans Cricket in the Far North is a mixed competition open to male players over 50 years and female players over 40 years. The CFN Veterans Committee may also consider younger players for approval.
The ethos of Veterans Cricket is to be all-encompassing, promoting participation for enjoyment, fitness, and fun.
The competition’s culture, while structured to be competitive, should not foster excessive competitiveness that overshadows its primary goal: to offer cricketers of varying abilities the chance to continue playing the sport they love, regardless of age.
The Cricket Far North Veteran’s Sub-Committee is currently working on a suitable format of play which will entice more players to participate in our competitions.
A survey will be sent to those who have been playing in the past, and to any new intending players.
A regular newsletter will also be published to your email address as required to keep you informed of developments.

Representative Cricket
In 2025, the Committee will engage with Veterans Committees in other zones in North Queensland (Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton) to provide opportunities to play representative competitions.
We work closely with Queensland Veterans Cricket to provide opportunities for interested players to involve themselves in Veterans Tournaments across Australia and beyond.
